Well, 2 out of the last 3 years of the actual best picture winning the oscar isn't bad I suppose. "Crash" certainly was a solid second place, but not a close second place. I think "Brokeback Mountain" and "Capote" were neck and neck for 1st and would have been happy to see either of those win. I'm certainly not nearly as upset when friggin "Chicago" won for 2002 over "Gangs of New York" or when the overrated "A Beautiful Mind" won over "The Fellowship of the Ring" for 2001. You want to see a much better movie about a crazy genius, see "Proof"
